Fr. Richard will present what he has summarized as his seven underlying themes: the spiritual assumptions and lineage that allow him to teach as he teaches.  How does he know that these are not just “his” thoughts?  These themes provide the basis of the curriculum for The Rohr Institute: A Living School for Action and Contemplation, opening Spring 2013.

Practicing Contemplation and
Facing Paradox
Could contemplation be described as an ability to hold and absorb seeming contradictions?  Is paradoxical thinking at the heart of faith?
Fr. Richard thinks so, and will illustrate why and how.

Immortal Diamond: the True Self
and the Risen Christ
The metaphor “immortal diamond” is taken from Gerard Manley Hopkins, and is used in Fr. Richard’s next book as an ideal image for the soul, the true self, and the risen Christ–all at once.

  1. The Web Series 2011 was the highlight of that weekend for me and in the comfort of my home in the foothills of Albuquerque made it an unimaginable place to listen and absorb. These gifts from the center was a wonderful experience which I look forward to in 2012. Now that I am transitioning to St. Paul, MN. I look forward to them even more to really stay in touch with the center and
Richard’s own spiritual transition from dualistic thinking to the present moment. Peace, Love and Joy.

  2. Kathleen, Peace, love and joy to you as you transition to your new home in beautiful MN! So glad you will continue your journey with us from a distance. Every Blessing, Cece
